The Startup Success Podcast

The Startup Success Podcast

This week Bob talks with Eric Ries about his Lean Startup concept and taking an entirely different approach to building your startup. Is 1 success and 9 failures the only way to build software startups? Eric doesn’t think so, and he convinced me. This is an approach to building your startup that I predict will get a lot of attention in 2010.

Patrick focuses on the new Microsoft Silverlight 4 beta and Bob’s staff chimes in during the main interview to wish you from all of us a Happy New Year!

The Startup Success Podcast

The Startup Success Podcast

This week Bob interviews Don Dodge, now part of Google and its Developer Evangelism Group. Until very recently Don was the very high-profile Director of Business Development for Microsoft’s Emerging Business Group. Now, Don is working on both scaling Google’s relations with startups and developers to entirely new levels of support, market opportunity, certification and training, and going head-to-head against Microsoft for enterprise wins for Google’s browser, cloud and mobile platforms.

“2010 is going to be an eye-opening year,” Don said in this wide ranging interview. This is one podcast you don’t want to miss.

Speaking of 2010, Bob has a few suggestions – more or less – for the new year, and Pat points out new Microsoft Front Runner programs coming soon.

The Startup Success Podcast

This week Bob interviews again Martin Kleppmann of Go Test It, this time about his recent sale to Red Gate Software. Also in the interview is Simon Galbraith, co-CEO of U.K.-based Red Gate Software about how this acquisition looked from his side of the table. It’s a fascinating view inside an actual small startup early exit – and how it really works.

Pat has some breaking news about Office Web apps, and Bob works finally works cats into the show. Also, last show, Martin was kind enough to offer our listeners a 30% discount. To try Go Test It! free for 30 days (and get the 30% off after that), go to: http://gotest.it/ssp.
